The bag kept on the counter suddenly exploded… Bomb blast in Bengaluru’s famous Rameshwaram Cafe, horrifying pictures surfaced.
Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has also confirmed that the explosion at Rameshwaram Cafe was a bomb blast. Important evidence regarding the blast has been captured in CCTV footage. Because, in the footage a person is seen keeping a bag inside the cafe. People have claimed that the bag was kept on the cashier counter and suddenly burst.

At least 10 people have been injured after an explosion at Rameshwaram cafe in Bengaluru’s Whitefield area on Friday, Karnataka Deputy CM D K Shivakumar confirmed. While it was initially suspected that a gas leak could have triggered the blast, CM Siddaramaiah confirmed that it was an “improvised explosive.” About seven teams from the Central Crime Branch (CCB) are probing the blast, as per Shivakumar who visited the spot this evening. The ten injured persons receiving treatment at a hospital are not in danger, officials said.
“A youngster between the age 20-30 had visited the restaurant in the afternoon for lunch. The movements of the accused are being tracked by the police,” Deputy CM D K Shivakumar said, speaking about the blast of the improvised explosive device

The explosion at the bustling cafe, located in east Bengaluru, occurred around 1 pm during the busy lunch hour when crowds from nearby offices generally line up. “At 1.08 pm today, the fire department received a call about LPG leakage fire in the cafe. When our officers and teams reached the spot, there was no fire or flame. A bag which was lying behind a woman who was sitting with six other customers at the eatery exploded. It is suspected that the explosion could have been caused due to some object in that bag,” TN Shivashankar, Director of Karnataka State Fire and Emergency Services department told PTI.
It was a low intensity blast, confirms DK Shivakumar
“It was a low intensity blast, timer was fixed for blast to happen after 1 hour,” says Karnataka Deputy CM D K Shivakumar.

Addressing reporters at the site, he also said:

– “The police have been given a free hand to do the investigation. CCB officials are investigating the incident and in addition seven separate teams have been formed to probe the blast.”

– “The movements of the accused is being tracked and the police are speeding up the investigation
